Sometimes, no matter what you do, you can't prevent something...
A digimon. An egg was formed, years ago, on a computer. Nobody could escape it's sight on screens, be it a television or computer. But, it was removed. Before it could be exterminated, though, it found its target. A poor boy's digimon, Kokomon, fell to the virus. It was consumed, and after far too long, saved.
No matter how many times you destroy something, it will only come back. Stronger.
Dissolving into the digital world, to try to save itself, the virus moved into the bodies of random digimon. To humans, it was gone, and in the human world, what would seem like days to them was years to the digital world, where the virus grew.
Sometimes, it will even be unnoticable at first.
When a rift was created, thanks to researchers in the human world, after discovering a Cherrymon, the virus took its chance. Escaping from the digital world, it found itself strong enough to even sink itself into the minds of people, corrupting their minds.
And... When it finally appears...
Cherrymon, weakened from experiments, let out a final burst of energy, to call forth Digidestined from all over the world, in hopes of saving not only their own kind, but infected Digimon, as well. Closing its eyes, it could only pray that it wasn't too late.
The only thing you can do is move forward.
Digital Corruption.
The Digidestined saved them once.
But they also brought the Virus
The Corruption.
It's infecting us. It's infecting them.
